No child should be denied the opportunity to participate.

In order to make our skating club a successful one we have a few HOUSEKEEPING RULES

  1. In the past we have had an issue with NSF cheques.  This year there will be a $40.00 charge for NSF cheques and dismissal of the skater until the amount owed is paid in full.
     

  2. There is no registration accepted after November 1, 2011, No exceptions.
     

  3. Refunds: Absolutely NO REFUNDS will be issued after second class without written medical    excuse. There will be 33.00 FOR INSURANCE, and 10.00 PER SESSION deducted from your registration amount.
     

  4. Guest Skaters will be charged $35.00 a day. (Based on availability)
     

  5. Parents of Can Skaters are asked to remain at the arena during Can Skate Lessons.
     

  6. We have a bulletin board in the entrance of the arena, on this board there will be a calendar for the month and any information that we have for you.
     

  7. Anyone wishing to volunteer, please let us know, all help is welcomed
     

  8. All skaters are asked to pick up after themselves to help keep our arena tidy.
     

  9. Parents are responsible for encouraging appropriate behavior in skaters.
     

  10. Parents of Can Skaters are NOT permitted on the ice, this is due to insurance purposes you are not insured to be on the ice only your child is. THANK YOU for your understanding.
     

  11. Cancellations will be put on the hawk and can not be made up because ice times are booked in advanced.  We will try not to cancel unless the weather is really bad

Richmond Wipeout on Ice Show

This Friday is our ice show and we are asking parents to have the kids at the arena between 5:15and 5:30. Posters can be dropped off earlier or by 5:15pm. The show runs from 6-7:30pm.

Children must be brought to the designated seating area for the skaters (near the far end of the arena at the second set of doors to go on the ice). Parents who volunteered to sit with the kids can go sit in that area as well. They can help Marilyn (our coach) line up the kids to go on the ice.

Volunteers working in the door area are asked to be here by 5pm because some of the parents will be coming in early. We are asking all parents and siblings to pay admission (this is our only fundraiser this year). Skaters get in free.

Admission prices:

Family: $10.00
Adults: $5.00
Children$2.00
Under 5: free

Carnations and 50/50 tickets will be sold at the door. There will also be a collection at the door for the Shelby Shines on foundation. Any parents who would like to help decorate can come to the arena next Friday at 3pm. Any help will be appreciated.



FAMILY SKATE


There will be no Can Skate on March 4th because our coach will be away at provincials.

The Tuesday following ( March 8th) will be our final night. It is a family skate (for all skaters) and will take place from 5-6pm. Free hot dogs and drinks will be provided for the registered skaters. All skaters and their family members are invited to skate that night.
 
Schedule Change:

Ice show will be held on Friday, February 25th. This change is necessary because Junior skaters and coaches will be away for competition in Amherst on March 4th.

The theme of this year's Show will be WipeOut on Ice. Canskate groups will be dressed in specific team colors. Check with Marilyn to see what color your child will wear.

The Ice show is our major fundraiser for the year which is why parents are asked to pay at the door. Skaters in the show are free. Thanks for understanding.

We will need help with decorating on the afternoon of the Ice Show. We will also need parents to volunteer to collect at the door, sell 50/50 tickets and sell Carnations. Parents are also required to help keep the skaters in the "backstage" area. Please let us know if you could help out.
 
Last Skate of 2010 -

Tuesday, December 21st - 3-5pm - Juniors, 4-5pm Preemies, 5-6pm FAMILY SKATE

Skating will start again on January 4th for Juniors/Preemies and January 7th for Canskate.

CANCELLATIONS WILL BE PUT ON THE HAWK AND CAN NOT BE MADE UP BECAUSE ICE TIMES ARE BOOKED IN ADVANCED.

WE WILL TRY NOT TO CANCEL UNLESS THE WEATHER IS REALLY BAD.
